Nigerian Boy To Receive Assistance From Northwestern Health Sciences University
10/06/08
A clinic of Northwestern Health Sciences University, The Woodwinds Natural Care Center, Woodbury, Minn, has launched a campaign to raise money for a seven-year-old Nigerian boy named Moses. With underdeveloped muscles and contorted body, Moses is believed by lead doctors to also have cerebral palsy.
The campaign’s goal is to bring Moses to the United States in October 2008 for medical treatment, as well as to improve his life skills. At present, $7,300 has been raised, with an overall goal of $10,000 that will be used for Moses’ airfare, caretaker, medical assessments and treatments, as well as cover his living costs. Several dentists and clinicians have also volunteered their services to Moses.
Additional donations to support Moses can be made at the Woodwinds Natural Care Center in Woodbury, Minn, or by the Teacher Federal Credit Union in Minneapolis. Donations can also be made via www.hopeformosesfund.org.
