TCA Honors Parker President The Texas Chiropractic Association (TCA) honored Fabrizio Mancini, DC, president of Parker College of Chiropractic, Dallas, with the association’s Legislative Leadership Award. Mancini received the award in recognition of his leadership, dedication, and service to the chiropractic profession.
“Dr. Mancini has worked tirelessly at the local, state, and national levels to further the chiropractic profession in every way,” says Patte Kent, TCA executive director.
Mancini was named the fifth president of Parker College in 1999. He is a 1990 graduate of Parker College and operated successful chiropractic practices in the United States and Europe. He was also recently named to the Texas Governor’s Advisory Council on physical fitness and is a past recipient of the TCA President’s Award.

CCA Appoints New Officers During the California Chiropractic Association (CCA) Board of Directors meeting, which took place June 8, 2006, the CCA appointed officers for its 2006–2007 term. They are:
• John Bueler, Jr, DC, Crestline, as president;
• William Updyke, DC, Santa Clara, as president-elect;
• Tracy David Cole, DC, Crescent City, as vice president;
• David Benevento, DC, Folsom, as chief financial officer;
• Maia James, DC, San Francisco, as secretary; and
• Kassie Donoghue, DC, Sacramento, as immediate past president.
Foot Levelers Presents Scholarship To NYCC Student Foot Levelers Inc presented a $500 college scholarship to Chris Jay, a student at New York Chiropractic College (NYCC), for completing a case study based on his clinical experience using Foot Levelers products.
“Foot Levelers congratulates Chris Jay for his excellent work and commitment to the chiropractic profession,” says Brian Jensen, DC, assistant director of Professional Education at Foot Levelers.
Jay’s case study was titled, “Foot Levelers’ Effect on a Patient with a Lower Extremity Condition.”
NHSU Names Fifth President Mark Zeigler, DC, has been appointed to serve as the fifth president of the Northwestern Health Sciences University (NHSU).
“I am excited about being able to lead our institution that has an international reputation for excellence in education, patient care, research, and community involvement,” Ziegler says.
During his term, Zeigler will serve as the university’s ambassador to all external constituents, including alumni, associations, and the community; nurture and develop strong alumni relations; serve as the university’s primary fund-raiser; and work with the development office to identify and cultivate donors and supporters of the university.
Prior to attending NHSU in 1977, Zeigler attended the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, SD, and Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. After graduating from NHSU in 1980, he established a private practice in Sturgis, SD.
