Palmer College of Chiropractic Appoints CEO
The Palmer College of Chiropractic Board of Trustees
appointed Larry G. Patten as its CEO. As CEO, Patten will coordinate the
board’s efforts, maintain stability within the college, and manage
future growth. He will also serve as a liaison between the board, the
college, and the two campus presidents.
“I look forward to working with Larry to provide
the stability, focus, and growth that has been initiated over the past 2
years,” says Peter Martin, DC, who serves as president of
Palmer’s West and Florida campuses. “He has a passion to serve
Palmer and the chiropractic profession.”
The decision to add a CEO position to the college
structure was a collective agreement by the 16-member board. In appointing
Patten as CEO, the board agreed that the responsibilities assigned to him
over the past 2 years had been fulfilled to their complete satisfaction.
Some of his accomplishments included: establishing a system of open
communication between the college, its administration, and the board;
building an administrative team to help implement the one-college,
three-campus structure as established by the board; and identifying the
strengths and weaknesses of the college and creating a process for
developing a 3- to 5-year strategic direction.
