Biofreeze Honors DC
with Humanitarian Award
Performance Health/Biofreeze awarded Tom Davis, DC, with its 2006 Humanitarian
Award for bringing chiropractic care to underprivileged patients in Costa Rica. As part of
the award, the company donated $500 to Sante Inc, a nonprofit organization founded by
Davis. Chuck Conto

dean of Northwestern College of Chiropractic Clinical Education, accepted the award on
behalf of Davis.
In 1999, Davis developed La Clinica de la Mariposathe
Butterfly Clinicto provide free chiropractic care to the children and
elderly of Costa Rica. Because of the positive response the clinic received, Davis created
Sante and currently collaborates with the Christian Foundation for Children and Aging and
Northwestern College of Chiropractic to provide integrated health care through La Clinica
de la Mariposa.
Davis is a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic and has
practiced in Alaska, Indiana, and Minnesota. He was a full-time faculty member of
Northwestern College and served in the Methods Department and the Wolfe-Harris Center for
Clinical Studies. |
Foot Levelers Awards
Scholarships
Foot Levelers Educational Division presented $500 college scholarships to
two students at Palmer College of Chiropractic Florida. The scholarship recipients
completed an application and case study based on their clinical experience using Foot
Levelers' products. Kenice
Morehouse, DC, clinic doctor and Florida liaison at Palmer Florida (left); Chad
Anderson,student, winner of the $500 Foot Levelers' Rehab scholarship; and Bill Austin,
DC, director ofeducation at Foot Levelers.
These students are to be commended for their work and
commitment to the chiropractic profession, says William Austin, DC, director of
Professional Education at Foot Levelers.
The recipients of the scholarships were: Brett Compton, whose
case-study topic was Foot Levelers Effect on a Patient with a Lower Extremity
Condition; and Chad Anderson, who studied How Foot Levelers Rehab
Protocols Enhanced the Treatment Effect. |
Parker Receives$1 Million Gift
Maurice Pisciottano, DC, founder and CEO of Pro-Solutions for Chiropractic and
developer of Pro-Adjuster, has donated $1 million to Parker College of Chiropractic.
Dr Pisciottano understands our philosophy and our dedication
to provide an education that is challenging, rigorous, inspiring, and transforming,
says Fabrizio Mancini, president of Parker College of Chiropractic.
In making the announcement of his pledge, Pisciottano stated that if the chiropractic
movement is to continue to progress, the schools need to be supported aggressively.
Parker College produces some of the finest doctors of chiropractic today,
Pisciottano says. Their graduates are leaders in our profession.
