 Steve Trinter, president of Symedex Medical LLC, Minneapolis, talks to Chiropractic Products about how the company can help chiropractors build a new business in the area of aesthetics.

What trends do you see in the area of chiropractors running secondary profit centers?
Aesthetics is a fast-growing area for chiropractors. As a very popular and exciting business segment, aesthetic services offered by chiropractors allows profitable growth and improved cash flows, without the common disappointing reimbursement scenario that now encumbers many chiropractic practices.

What are the top new products you have in the areas of antiaging and wellness?
Depending on the areas of concentration, chiropractors can offer body or facial services. Both of these areas of aesthetics are natural extensions of a well-positioned aesthetic/wellness concept. Symedex Medical offers several profitable facial and body aesthetic technologies to the chiropractic market.

How is Symedex able to assist chiropractors in making these secondary businesses successful?
As the aesthetic concept is relatively new to chiropractors, Symedex employs a consultive approach to marketing our technologies. We work closely with our clients to understand their vision, and then we help them match the right technology with their business model. This approach is proving very successful for our clients.

What do your products offer that would make you different from your competitors?

This is combined with personalized training by our world-class training and educational specialists, at the clients’ business. Going further, we provide “hands- on” guidance regarding the operation of the equipment, and marketing concepts to help our customers build their new aesthetic businesses. The result is a valuable relationship that grows with each new Symedex technology our customers add to their business.

What is the history of Symedex?
Our roots evolved deep from the spa market. Symedex Medical is the medical products division of Sybaritic Inc, a world-renowned spa equipment and products manufacturer and marketer. As the development of aesthetic technologies grew over the last decade toward medical aesthetics, Symedex Medical was conceived to meet the needs of this new and growing market segment. Symedex Medical is the fastest-growing division of the entire corporation.
