Parker College Dean Named President-Elect of AVCA

He has taught courses in systemic anatomy and pharmacology/toxicology. ICA Nominates First Woman for President
The International Chiropractors Association (ICA) has nominated Joan Fallon, DC, to be its next president. Fallon is the first woman in the organizations 79-year history to be nominated for such a high office.
I am honored that the membership chose to nominate me, Fallon says. I am anxious to help ICA grow and become the premier organization in chiropractic. ICA was designed to take chiropractic worldwide, and I plan to do that should I be elected president.
Having authored a textbook on chiropractic and pregnancy, in addition to numerous journal articles, Fallon has brought chiropractic to children around the globe. She is often called to be the spokesperson for children receiving chiropractic care, and she has been featured in Parents, Parenting, and Baby Talk magazines, as well as on television and radio programs.
A Fellow of the International Council on Chiropractic Pediatrics, Fallon recently received a philosophy degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic. She also holds a doctor of chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic and a degree in biology from Franklin and Marshall College. In addition, she has completed her coursework for a masters in clinical investigation degree from a joint program with Harvard and the Institutes at Massachusetts General Hospital.
I couldnt be more proud to pass the torch to an individual who is the favorite pick of college presidents, students, and chiropractors worldwide, says CJ Mertz, incumbent ICA president. She is a proven and highly effective leader with sound judgment and great integrity. Fallon has an impeccable reputation and has contributed tremendously to making chiropractic and subluxation household words. I am backing her 100%.
