Creed Speaks to NYG at Chiropractic Seminar
Chiropractors affiliated with the Chiropractic Services Unit (CSU) of the 244th Medical Clinic of the New York Guard (NYG) recently had the opportunity to participate in the continuing education event donated by Alan Creed, DC, which was underwritten by Foot Levelers Inc, Roanoke, Va, and Impac Instruments, Salem, Ore. Creed, a veteran of the US Army, offered his lecture in appreciation of the services performed by the Guard after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, in New York City.
Creeds technique of instrument adjusting and treatment and assessment of soldiers health issues from the viewpoints of the chiropractor and the patient were covered. The CSU doctors received continuing education credits from Texas Chiropractic College for participating in the seminar.
I am thankful for the ability and opportunity to contribute to the training of the NYG chiropractors, says Creed. In developing a military chiropractic model for the NYG Chiropractic unit, I was privileged to be of service to those who continue to provide for the security and care of our nations soldiers.

Cox Visits Palmer to Teach Distraction Technique
James M. Cox, DC, recently visited Palmer College of Chiropractic to share his research expertise and experience as the developer of the Cox Distraction Manipulation Technique, also known as Flexion Distraction Technique. Serving as an advisor for two large low-back pain research projects at the Palmer Center for Chiropractic Research, Cox trained the 10 clinicians who will provide chiropractic care for patients in the studies.
Its quite a coup to have Dr Cox be able to train our clinicians in the technique he developed, says Robert Rowell, DC, director of the Palmer Chiropractic Research Clinic. He requested to talk to students and faculty while he was here on campus, so its clear that he is dedicated to expanding future chiropractors knowledge of research.
