productBack Support
The Saunders Group Inc introduces its patented Back Seat, which combines an adjustable back support with rigid side panels. When the wearer sits down, the side panels support the weight of the upper body to unload the lumbar spine by nearly 70%, according to Saunders. The Back Seat doubles as a regular back support when the side panels are removed. It also features an adjustable lumbar support pad to help maintain lordosis in the seated position. Advantages of the Back Seat include improved sitting tolerance, decreased effects of gravity on the spine, decreased time away from work, and pressure relief in the sitting position.

productFoam Roller
Balanced Body, a Pilates equipment manufacturer, introduces the Magic Roller, a high-performance, professional foam roller that keeps its shape. The Magic Roller is made of closed-cell foam and is a durable version of the conventional foam roller, an accessory widely used in Pilates, Feldenkrais®, chiropractic practic, and physical therapy.

“Because conventional foam rollers are typically made from packing foam, they often lose their round shape and curl up, even after just a few weeks or months of use,” said Ken Endelman, Balanced Body’s founder and chief executive officer. "The Magic Roller is the only roller that actually stays round, even in unpressurized air cargo compartments.”

Designed for total comfort and versatility, the Magic Roller cushions the spine in supine positions, the forearms in prone positions, the shins in quadruped positions, and the feet in standing positions. The accessory’s soft, velvet texture is simple to clean, and the nonskid surface prevents sliding, improving the accuracy of movement.

The Magic Roller retails for $35.95 and discounts are offered for volume purchases.

Balanced Body was founded in 1976 and substantially updated Joseph Pilates’ equipment with state-of-the-art engineering, materials and technology. Endelman has been awarded 12 US patents for his inventions with more patents pending.

productManagement Learning Communities
The Masters Circle Inc introduces a unique concept in which their members can interact with one another on a regular basis. Small learning communities, referred to as PODS, consist of a maximum of 15 chiropractors and are held regularly. This allows chiropractors to discuss topics from personal management to practice development.

Recently, The Masters Circle provided an all-time high of 100 different group discussions in November. That is more than 1,500 chiropractors interacting and masterminding in 1 month. This is consistent with their mission to raise the standards and consciousness of the chiropractic profession.

The PODS were created to give members the opportunity to share, learn, and support each other on predetermined topics. Facilitated by Masters Circle consultants, these small learning communities provide a safe forum for chiropractors to share ideas and experiences. These discussions are designed to help doctors expand their consciousness and to learn to think on their feet while providing an interactive consulting experience. It also gives their members the ability to meet and learn from other consultants through cross-podination, where members can sign up for a POD with a consultant other than the one they are currently working with.

As The Masters Circle continues to grow, they are finding that many of their members are benefiting from this valuable new addition to their membership. The participants are showing an increase in motivation and are forming bonds with other chiropractors across the country. In addition, the rate of their practice growth has significantly increased. The Masters Circle will continue to grow and expand this form of coaching while continuing to offer the personal one-on-one coaching experience that has been the staple of The Masters Circle.
