Haven on Earth
Words cannot express the joy I felt when I first saw the cover article in the September 2002 issue! As a chiropractic professional who has been pushing the Oklahaven mission forward and often swimming upstream against those who havent witnessed the miracles we see with the children here everyday, I send our sincere gratitude for the support.
Because of [the CP staff], chiropractic professionals, their patients, and the rest of the country will get a glimpse at the achievements the sick and severly damaged children are able to make with chiropractic care. Your support honors not only Oklahaven, but also the children and parents we help every week.
Again, from our hearts to yours, our sincere thanks for helping Oklahaven achieve its 15 minutes of fame. Your support of our mission is a true gift.

On Easy Street
A few issues ago, [there was an article that] compared billing software programs and it gave some great information as to choosing the right one. Can you tell me how I can get this comparison either online or mailed to me? I am currently working for someone else, but I am going to be opening my own practice, so I am researching which software would be right for me and my new practice.

The documentation software roundtable titled, On Easy Street, invited four industry experts to offer advice and appeared in the April 2002 issue.
Rubbing Shoulders
Dr Cook:
I enjoyed reading your article in Chiropractic Products about subacromial impingement syndrome (Rubbing Shoulders July 2002); it was very well written and informative. However, I would like to know if you could recommend a system for office use in which I could customize a patients exercise program. The pictures in the article were helpful, but I cannot take pictures of each type of exercise that I would want my patients to do. Thanks again for your contribution to chiropractic.

Dear Dr Cook:
Great article on shoulder impingement. Although it explained so much, now I feel like I know so little. Can you provide me with some texts that you use on regular basis for some of the other regions of the body? An email reply would be appreciated.

Dear Dr Cook:
I found your article on shoulder impingement syndrome interesting and informative. I would like to know more about your chiropractic forms. Can you give me more information?

Dr Cook:
I noticed your article in July CP and would like to see your form for the extremities and the orthopedic tests you mentioned. Also, I would like the name[s] of the book you have used.

I have so many books from past years, but you can find most of the tests in just about any orthopedic or sports injury book. I follow a lot of Warren Hammer's ideas on soft tissue. Dr Hammer's book, Functional Soft Tissue Examination and Treatment by Manual Methods: The Extremities is an excellent resource for learning more about the shoulder. Other books that I refer to often are:
Photographic Manual of Regional Orthopedic and Neurological Tests (Cipriano), Orthopedic Physical Assessment (Magee), Illustrated Essentials in Orthopedic Physical Assessment (Evans), Physical Examination of the Spine and Extremities (Hoppenfeld), Clinical Assessment of Neuromusculoskeletal Disorders (Greenstein).

DCs Support Firefighters
I received my copy of Chiropractic Products today with the coverage on the Hayman fire (The Back Page department, August 2002, Colorado DCs Offer Support to Local Firefighters)wow, what a great story!
In our little town someone that has a story in a trade magazine like yours is newsworthy. Do you have available a press release or information sheet on Chiropractic Products? And if so, could I forward that to our local paper?
