Relief-Mart Inc introduces Therapain Plus®, a topical pain reliever that adds 14,000 mg of glucosamine and MSM in a penetrating spray formula. Therapain does not include any oils or waxy substances that block skin penetration. Instead, it uses a skin conditioner that enhances penetration, while preventing drying. Therapain Plus can be used on aches and pains associated with conditions such as arthritis, fibromyalgia, tendonitis, bursitis, sciatica, sprains, strains, and carpal tunnel syndrome. It also can relieve postadjustment soreness and allow patients to sleep better. The cooling, peppermint-scented spray contains 2% natural-1 menthol for pain relief without a burning side effect.

Stretching Book
Benjamin Griffes, MA, DC, offers Stretching for Life: Four Minute Stretching Routines, a book designed for busy people who do not have time to stretch, have difficulty stretching, or do not know how to stretch.
With easy-to-follow instructions, the guide shows readers how to stretch different areas of the body. It offers options for stretching the same muscle in multiple ways, enabling those people with specific physical limitations or injuries to stretch without further injury.
The book is divided into two parts. The first part groups stretches into regions (ie, head/neck, back, feet, and legs) with different ways to stretch that area. The second half of the book groups the exercises into 4-minute routines. This allows people on busy schedules to take minibreaks to loosen joints, relax muscles, and reduce tension. The 4-minute routines can stretch single or combined areas of the body.

Unweighing System
Biodex Medical Systems Inc offers its Unweighing System, which addresses athletic populations, older adults, and neurologically impaired patients. The dynamic suspension system closely approximates ground reaction forces, permitting patients to replicate normal, functional gait mechanics. The system uses a single-point suspension that allows natural rotation and elevation of the pelvis. To change direction, the patient shifts while the unit can remain in position.
The single-point, dynamic suspension system permits the functional mechanics necessary to replicate a normal gait pattern. The system removes a predetermined portion of weight load from the patients legs, up to 150 lb, allowing proper upright posture. A digital readout quantifies the unloaded weight.
For more information, contact Biodex Medical Systems Inc, 20 Ramsay Rd, Box 702, Shirley, NY 11967; 631-924-9000; 800-224-6339; sales@biodex.com; www.biodex.com.
Electronic Surface Sensor
Sensor Products Inc introduces Xsensor, an electronic tactile-force and pressure-indicating sensor. It allows engineers to monitor how force is disbursed between any two contacting or mating surfaces in real time while the event occurs. Any application of test where pressure lies between 0.1 psi to 9,000 psi (0.007 kg/cm2 to 632.7 kg/cm2) is a viable candidate for Xsensor technology.
Xsensor aids in determining plantar foot pressures for custom orthotics and body or hand contact pressures for wheelchairs, specialized appliances, and devices used in rehabilitation and physical therapy. For orthotic and prosthetic manufacturers and practitioners, the system will record low-pressure magnitudes and distributions at joint surfaces, both physiological and prosthetic. Upon application of force, an instantaneous reading, proportional in intensity to the force applied, is produced and can be viewed in 3-D or other options during playback mode.
Xsensor is a Windows®-based system that consists of an electronic sensor element skin, an interface controller, and software. The sensor skin is a thin flexible sheet densely packed with sensing points or pixels. These sensing points can be spaced as close as 1 mm apart and can collect data as rapidly as 60,000 points per second. The sensing element is 18 mils, allowing adaptation over curved surfaces or invasive intolerant environments. The elements internal structure is durable and can be used for thousands of tests before replacement is necessary. The sensor system is precalibrated and requires minimal user training prior to operation.
System requirements are a Windows 95/98/2000/XP operating system, 16 MB free disk space, and 64 MB RAM.
For more information, please contact Sensor Products Inc, 188 Rte 10 W, Suite 307, E Hanover, NJ 07936; 973-884-1755; 973-884-1699 fax; sales@sensor prod.com; www.sensorprod.com.
