NAET Just for Me, But for All

by Devi S. Nambudripad, DC, LAc, PhD

Eliminate your patients’ suffering with this noninvasive treatment for allergies and allergy-related conditions

f02a.jpg (11764 bytes)CAN YOUR PATIENTS EVER BE FREE OF FOOD ALLERGIES? Able to breathe normally in pollen season? Free of chemical sensitivities? A new treatment—Nambudripad’s Allergy Elimination Treatment (NAET)—can eliminate the allergies and allergy-related disorders of your patients. Thirty-five million Americans (20% of the population) suffer from allergies and seek relief.1 By offering successful treatment for allergy relief, you can increase your patient base.

For an allergy sufferer, the possibility of an attack is always waiting around the corner when an allergen is introduced into the body. An allergy is an unusual or exaggerated response toward certain substances. This type of biological hypersensitivity occurs in sensitive individuals, while remaining innocuous in similar amounts and circumstances in others.

Undiagnosed allergies can produce symptoms, illnesses, and even chronic conditions such as migraines, backaches, asthma, insomnia, and obesity, which can affect every system and organ in the body. Most chemically sensitive people have constant tearing and coughing spells, even when passing by a nail salon. Chronic fatigue, immune disorders, hyperactivity, arthritis, anxiety, depression, and addiction can be allergy-based. Many continue to spend years and thousands of dollars visiting medical specialists without improvement.

Necessity, the Mother of Invention

NAET principles were discovered through my own personal experiences. Since childhood, I had suffered from poor health—multiple illnesses, eczema, arthritis, joint aches, general body aches, bronchitis, insomnia, clinical depression, sinusitis, migraine headaches, chronic exhaustion, and three miscarriages. I was taking 20 to 30 aspirins daily to survive. Even after seeing many doctors and trying new techniques, medicines, herbs, vitamins, and nutritional programs, my health continued to deteriorate.

Finally, an acupuncturist made the connection between my complaints and undiagnosed allergies. White rice and broccoli were the only foods to which I was not allergic. I ate these for the next 42 months.

After eating carrots I instantly felt tired and lethargic—as if I was going to faint. After an MRT, I found I was highly allergic to carrots. I gave myself acupuncture treatment working with the points that would keep me awake and prevent going into shock. After the treatment, I slept for 45 minutes. I discovered that a few pieces of carrot had stuck to my shoulder.

This is when I discovered the link between holding the allergenic substance within the body’s electromagnetic field while simultaneously receiving treatment for the adverse reaction. Somehow, the combination of the two took the allergenic charge out of the carrots, and my body was no longer repulsed by the energy of the carrots. To prove my discovery, I ate the remainder of the carrot without any allergic reaction and tested my muscles for carrots and the response was strong.

I treated all my known allergens one at a time, and by 1985, I was free from my known allergies. I am still allergy-free to those I treated, even after 17 years.

East Meets West
NAET is a blend of noninvasive procedures from both Western and Eastern healing methods that permanently eliminate allergies. The specific treatment procedure was formulated by combining chiropractic and Chinese medicine principles, such as spinal manipulation, acupuncture, kinesiology, acupressure, and nutrition.

Muscle response testing (MRT) is used to confirm the presence of allergic reactivity. Once identified, spinal manipulation, acupressure, and/or acupuncture are used to eliminate the allergy. The premise is to reprogram the brain’s negative responses toward the allergen(s) to a positive response whenever these substances are contacted in the future. NAET is based on the Chinese medical principle: "No disease is possible when your body is in perfect balance."2 Health is brought back to homeostasis, or a perfect energy balance throughout the entire body.

NAET offers an energy medicine solution to allergic conditions by balancing the body and mind through three pathways:

  1. Mind-body energy (psychosomatic),
  2. Body-mind energy (somatovisceral), and
  3. Mind-body-organ (psychosomatovisceral).

This is accomplished through the stimulation of spinal nerves using a specific acupuncture/acupressure and spinal manipulation protocol without drugs, allergy shots, or any invasive forms. For the past 18 years, I have successfully healed between 80% to 90% of my patients’ hidden allergies with this treatment method.

Energy Crisis
Based on the principle that all matter is held together by energy fields, NAET acknowledges that the central and autonomic nervous system recognize and respond to it. All neurons or cells in the body are connected by an interlinking network of nerve fibers that sends messages to the brain where the actual memory of various visual, auditory, touch, or other sensorimotor stimuli are initially imprinted, erased, and reimprinted, overwritten, or saved.

This network produces the fastest, most proficient communication system in the body, which is powered by neurotransmitters, or invisible vital energy known as "chi." Any disturbance can cause disruption in the circulation of vital energy to the nerve-energy pathways, body cells, organs, and functions of the cells and organs. If this continues for a long period of time, the result is illness or disease.

Located throughout the body, nerve-energy pathways contain many electromagnetic cells called bonham corpuscles, which are extremely sensitive. These cellular structures filter all energetic movements through the energy pathways easily, or can selectively block energy transmissions. Blocking chemical and electrical charges negatively affects the energy pathway. Allergic response comes into play when a perceived allergen (source of energy disruption) blocks a pathway on the physical, biochemical, or emotional (cellular) level.

To illustrate, suppose that while washing your face, soap goes into your eye. The immediate response is to tightly shut your eyes to prevent more soap from entering the eye. You keep your eyes closed until all the soap has been washed from the eye. The same principle is applied here: when an irritant’s energy tries to enter the energy meridians, it causes a disturbance that blocks the energy flow.

Childhood Baggage
During infancy and childhood, many adverse energies are encountered, such as radiation, chemical toxins from external (bacterial infections) and internal (lactic acid buildup) sources, tissue damage from physical trauma, weakened immune system due to long-term illness, severe malnutrition causing nerve conductivity obstruction, and emotional traumas. Exposure can disrupt the energy circulation and leave blockages in the energy meridians, DNA, or cell memory. Each trauma imprints a certain frequency in the energy meridians and the genes.

If the first imprint produces an unpleasant reaction, the following ones with similar frequencies will do the same. If it is not removed or repaired, similar energies with similar frequencies will not be able to conduct energy (travel) through the area due to the blockage(s). Continuous stress results in acute and chronic illness due to a lack of energy supply to the related functions of vital organs—circulatory, digestive, respiratory, excretory, and immune systems.

According to an Oriental medical principle, the idea of muscle response testing comes from the "I Ching" (oracle of the healer within) by Fu Xi, an ancient Chinese hero, in 3322 BC.2

Case Studies

Tina, 29 years old, experienced severe, daily migraines for the past 9 years. The only unusual change during this time was that she became a strict vegetarian. Through MRT, she was found to be allergic to vitamin C. When Tina was given a vitamin C pill, within 10 minutes, she had an intense and immediate reaction: a headache. It intensified with the onset of nausea, chills, muscular stiffness, and fever. Thirty minutes after treating her, Tina reported that she felt better. Five days later on the second visit, she said she had not experienced another headache. In her case, the stomach meridian was blocked and kept generating migraine headache symptoms. The sudden blockage of the meridian is one of the quickest defense mechanisms to stop the allergen from entering deeper into the body.

Thomas, 28 years old, worked as a computer programmer and started experiencing extreme fatigue after 1 year of beginning a new job. His job performance dropped, and he could barely walk without help. He was diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome. After taking a leave of absence, Thomas began to feel better. But upon returning to work, he got worse again. Thomas was tested, and it was found that he was allergic to the plastic material of the computer keyboard and screen radiation. After treatment, Thomas resumed work full-time without further allergic reactions.

Works Like a Charm
To detect the nerve energy blockage with MRT, compare the strength of a specific muscle in the body (usually the arm is convenient), in the absence and presence of a suspected allergen. The particular muscle tests strongly in the absence of the allergen and vice versa. The blockages of the energy pathways (meridians) are released through manual manipulation (acupressure) of specific acupuncture points located along the spine on both sides, allowing the energy to flow freely for the few moments through the kidney and bladder meridians into each brain cell. After a few seconds, the old memory is erased and replaced with a new one.

In the presence of the allergen, the body is brought into perfect balance with the creation of a new memory about the allergen. The muscle strength is compared again by repeating muscle testing procedures. The previously weak muscle is now strong in the presence of the allergen. Acupressure is then applied at various acupuncture points to produce homeostasis in the body.

The patient should avoid all contact with the treated allergen for 24 hours. The 12 major energy meridians are reset at 2 hours per pathway.

When the allergen is introduced properly, the body allows the new energy of the allergen to coexist silently with other energies without creating havoc in the system. In this way, many have said goodbye to illnesses they thought were permanent afflictions. With NAET, you can help patients transform allergic bodies into a healthy, balanced, and livable body.
